Finalists for the inaugural Star Hospitality Hutt Valley Sports Awards were announced by the judging panel via various media channels mid April 2023.
Winners of each category, along with an overall winner, were announced during the 25 May Awards Ceremony at the Walter Nash Centre in Taita. Hutt Valley's own Russell & Betty Watt were inducted as a Hutt Valley Sporting Legends during the ceremony. |

This year's Forsyth Barr Exceptional Service to Sport recipient Dr Ihakara Puketapu for not just his contributions to sport, but also his legacy of Māori leadership, wellbeing and development rooted in kaupapa and mātauranga Māori methodologies.
